Oceanic Wing's Yokosuka MXY-11 3D mod for Il2:1946 Sturmovik

The Yokosuka MXY-7 Ohka, (櫻花 (Shinjitai: 桜花) "cherry blossom", was a purpose-built, rocket powered human-guided anti-shipping kamikaze attack plane employed by Japan towards the end of World War II.

When the original from 1C/Maddox Games was unlocked by AAA in 2007, it unlocked a special toy for us, and good opportunity for improved team work and co-ordination. We fell in love with the little Ohka, despite her morbid historical intentions. It always irked us some, how the mod was implimented, and the limitations of the mod became apparent quickly.

This mod was devised with the intentions to A) improve the 3D model of the aircraft, and B) to fix the impact bug (previously, the only detionation was that of an aircraft impact. This mod was designed to fix that, and have the warhead detonate on impact.)

Unfortunately, with the September 2010 earthquake that hit Christchurch, New Zealand (where the main author is based) the final, release canditate was lost. However, instead of depriving the community of the mod while we concentrate on other area's, we have decided to release an earlier build (v.0.5b). This gives you a 99% finished 3D fix, and a 50-50% chance of the warhead detonating on impact.
